Job Title: Business Development Representative
Department: Operations - Administrative
Location: Baker Office (Mandaree, Alexander, New Town)
Reports to: CEO
- I. Job Summary
Must have the ability to work remotely, in an office setting, and customers facilities with limited to no supervision. Responsible for successfully promoting and supporting operations based around upstream, midstream, downstream projects. Responsible for the growth of Baker services based on goals set out by management. In addition to business development, this position may also manage some overall marketing tasks for the company.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. With limited or no supervision, ensures the following:
- Compliance with all company policies, HSE programs, and SOP’s critical to the success of the company.
- Maintain a focused approach on growing internal services and new customers that Baker management has outlined as priorities.
- Create weekly business development reports showing details of developments with current and potential clients.
- Represent Baker at public and private events that focus on the promotion and marketing of the company and services.
- Meet managements goals for acquiring new Master Service Agreements and percentages of increased revenues.
- Works with operations managers to accurately promote the services, abilities, and experience each division has. Focus on key services of the company while also presenting new opportunities to management.
- Presents any and all opportunities in a detailed and professional fashion for managements review.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not currently have any supervision responsibilities.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
- Education and Experience
- Required:
- At least five years’ experience in a sales or operations position servicing the Bakken.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred:
- At least three years in a business development position servicing the oil and gas industry in the Bakken.
- Required:
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- Required:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Currently hold or have the immediate ability to obtain industry standard safety certifications including OSHA10, Safeland PEC, First Aid/CPR, H2S awareness, confined space, among others including customer specific orientations required by customers to be onsite.
- Preferred:
- Member of industry standard organizations such as NPC, NDIC, etc.
- Member of industry standard organizations such as NPC, NDIC, etc.

- Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Comprehensive knowledge of tools, equipment, services in all facets of the oil and gas industry as well as outside enterprises.

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) most of the work day.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects greater than 50 pounds.

- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements if required on site.
- Normal setting for this job is: Combination of on site with customers and in an office setting.
